Solomon Grundy and Green Lanternby ~leroysquab

Haven't done anything new in a while so I decided to see if I couldn't dust off this pic I'd done a couple years and see if I could make it look a little better. It's the same scene, models (M3's), textures, props, poses, lights, etc. I did tweak a couple of render settings as well as some photoshop postwork. I think it looks more like it should now.

Thanks, Don! I built my own Grundy textures (except hair) in photoshop from scratch so I'm most happy to hear you say that!

I can't see Solomon Grundy and not think of that Cartoon Network commercial with the Legion of Doom meeting and Brainiac complaining that all he wants is a decent pair of pants and then Solomon Grundy comes back with "Solomon Grundy want pants too!!"
Ok that was a bit of a deviation.

Oh yeah, I was sort of smiling to myself as I did this because off camera, he's not wearing pants here so I couldn't help but think of those Cartoon Network spots either!

Awesome characters, Lance! I'm so happy to see you return, and what a great one to come back with! I love the expressions, and as always, you manage to get in there with the perfect camera angle to add more action and intensity to your scenes. Excellent work bud! So glad to see you posting again! It's good to sneak away from work sometimes and get the ole art fix -- keeps us sane!

Well, I'm not sure polishing the rust off an old piece qualifies as back in action but it's a start, hopefully.

Thanks for the kind words! I've been terribly busy of late but I must admit that while reworking this, I couldn't help but think "hmmm, this is fun! I really must do this art thing more often!"
