I have not seen the recent Disney movie about John Carter yet but rather read the books by Tarzan author Edgar Rice Burroughs way back in high school and enjoyed countless works of great fantasy art based on the series since. Here's my version of John Carter, the Martian princess Deja Thoris and a Martian Ape.

Trust me, your version is much better than the recent Disney one! I have always been a big fan of the series, too. The Michael Whelan covers that they had when I was a kid were awesome, and I think that they really did justice to the wonderfully imaginative stories.
